Dr. Evan Osar, President
Evan Osar is the developer of the Integrative Movement Specialist™ certification designed specifically to aid the fitness professional establish themselves as aninvaluable part of their client’s health care team. In addition to his chiropractic degree, Dr. Osar has earned national certifications through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and The Soma Institute – National School for Clinical Massage Therapy. He is the founder of Fitness Education Seminars, an education company with the mission of helping trainers and therapist recognize their role as a part of the solution to the health care crisis. An internationally renowned speaker, Dr. Osar presents for several national and international organizations including American Council on Exercise, Club Industry, ECA World Fitness, IDEA, NSCA, Perform Better, Medical Fitness Association, Asia Fit, FILEX, AECC, British Chiropractic Association and Norwegian Chiropractic Association. He specializes in bringing advanced training and rehabilitation strategies to the fitness and bodywork professional that works with the pre and post-rehabilitation and general population client. Additionally, he has developed over a dozen resources including courses, manuals, and DVD’s to support the educational needs of the next generation of health care professional. His mission is to help fitness professionals think bigger about their role in the lives of their clients.
Jenice Mattek, Director
Jenice, is the Director of Fitness Education Seminars, as well as, Chicago Integrative Movement Specialists. Jenice oversees and organizes the seminars, product
sales and marketing for Fitness Education Seminars. Jenice has developed seminars for massage therapists in the area of fascial techniques, scar tissue therapy and client education strategies.
Jenice is Dr. Osar's teaching assistant at conferences and for the Integrative Movement Specialist™ certification.
Sara is a movement specialist, teaching individuals and classes or presenting workshops around the Midwest. She began her professional career as a dancer, then sought personal training certification in 2002 from the American Council on Exercise. Early in her career she cofounded Woman Centered Fitness, where she designed and taught fitness classes for women. She has continued the study of the body with a certification in perinatal fitness from Healthy Moms Fitness in 2003 and certification as an Integrated Movement Specialist in 2009.
In 2013, she and Jenice Mattek created The Scar Tissue Movement to help educate and treat women who have a history of breast, abdominal and/or pelvic surgeries. Through customized fitness techniques, based on the Integrative Movement System principles, she also creates workshops for dancers and dance teachers.
Her credits include dance faculty at Columbia College Chicago and Ballet Chicago; presenter at the Annual Midwest Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation Symposium; guest instructor for Thodos Dance; and Assistant Director of River Dance Collage 2.
